Joyce Rosemarie Levy, age 83 of Whitehall, formerly of Hart, passed away Thursday December 14, 2017 at Heartland-Whitehall. She was born in Berwyn, IL on July 20, 1934 to Joseph and Sylvia (Sladek) Jetleb. Joyce married John Levy at the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ on October 27, 1973. She was employed for over thirty years with Spartan Stores in the Accounting Dept.

Joyce was known for her cooking and baking. She used many recipes from her numerous cook book volumes, but mostly enjoyed her tried and true recipes from the old country. Joyce never passed by a cook book that was for sale, which she did not purchase.

Joyce is survived by her sister, Sylvia (Paul) Rosse of Hart. She is also survived by her nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband John Levy on April 7, 2004.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the Hart Congregational United Church of Christ, 408 S. State St., Hart, with Pastor Dan Barnum-Steggerda officiating.
