Mrs. Juanita Kay McCann, age 57, of Hart passed away Friday, October 9, 2015. She was born October 3, 1958 in Hart to Manuel and Dorothy (Crawford) Salazar. Being a lifetime area resident, she graduated from Hart High School Class of 1976. Juanita married Richard McCann on June 1, 1979 at St. Gregory Catholic Church. She was employed by Grand Haven Stamp Products until her illness. Juanita had also worked in food service at the Hart Public Schools, Subway and the Oceana County Medical Care Facility. She enjoyed camping and reading and was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Being of a strong mind and will, she led a very faith filled life. Juanita loved her family, but her grandchildren were always special to her.
Juanita is survived by her husband Richard of Hart; daughter, Alisha (Mark) Anderson of Hart; son, Adam (Randi) McCann of Hart; four grandchildren, Grady and Gretta Anderson, Drew Flanery, and Grayson McCann; four sisters, Donna (Emil "Jr") Jukich of IL; Kim (Steve) Iteen of Ludington, Brenda (Dave) Padilla of Hart, Kaylynn Brown of Flint, MI; three brothers, Eugene (Angie) Salazar of Gillette, Wyoming, Victor (Tamera) Salazar of Hart, Terry Spivey of Flint, MI. she was preceded in death by her parents; nephew, Jason Allen Crawford.
The Mass of the Resurrection for Juanita will be offered Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM from St. Gregory Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Bolster presiding. Interment will be made in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 6-8 PM at the King Funeral Home-Hart. Memorial contributions may be given to the funeral home for assistance with funeral service expense.
