Mrs. Julia 'Judy 'Anne Vanderzanden–Symons–Winczewski, age 93, of Hart, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart. She was born September 23, 1922, in Hart to Jesse and Sarah (Fuller) Benson. Judy was a graduate of the 1941 class of Hart High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper/teller at FMB Oceana Bank (now Huntington Bank) for twenty-seven years, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Gregory Catholic Church in Hart. Judy was married to Albert Vanderzanden, Charles Symons and Joseph Winczewski, all of whom have preceded her in death. She loved bird watching and feeding the ducks. Judy also enjoyed flower gardening, loved to dance and enjoyed bowling.
Julia is survived by one daughter, Deborah (Kim) Berger of Mears, two sons, Duane (Betsy) Vanderzanden of Hart and Ronald (Wanda) Vanderzanden of Pentwater; ten grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, Albert Vanderzanden, Charles Symons, Joseph Winczewski, daughter, Gloria Jean Herrygers, son, Kenneth Vanderzanden, grandson, Andrew Herrygers, three sisters, Marjorie Larson, Millie Speese, Dora Pickard, brother, Keith Benson.
The Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Winczewski will be offered Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Gregory Catholic Church in Hart with Father Thomas Bolster presiding. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home with a rosary beginning at 6:00 p.m. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Crystal Valley Care Fund, P.O.
