Mrs. Julia Gertrude Regnante, age 99, of Ludington, passed away Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at Oakview Medical Care Facility in Ludington. She was born December 24, 1916, in Bronx, NY to John and Frances Cominski. Julia married Mr. James Regnante in Bronx, New York. She was co-owner of Fran's Linen Service as well as Fran's Bakery and Lunch Cafe. Julia had a feisty passion for tidiness and cooking some of the greatest meatballs known to her family. She also loved animals and gardening.

Julia is survived by one daughter: Fran Behairy of Ludington, MI; two granddaughters: Sarra (Muhammed) El Mehdi of Ludington and Yasmeena Behairy of Ludington; and two great granddaughters: Amira El Mehdi and Laila El Mehdi of Ludington. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband James, and Sister, Mary Cominski.

The funeral service for Mrs. Regnante will be Saturday, July 30, 2016, at 11:00 am at King Funeral Home with Pastor Gary Ridley officiating. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at King Funeral Home, 301 N. Jebavy Drive, Ludington, MI 49431. Mrs. Regnante will be laid to rest in Lakeview Cemetery in Ludington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to King Funeral Home, PO Box 583, Ludington, MI 49431 to aid with final expenses.
