Karen Louise Kreiser, 72, of Buckley, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at her home. She was born October 24, 1953, in Traverse City, the daughter of Carl and Margaret (Milks) Kreiser.
Karen was the long-time manager of the Grawn Shell Station. She was also a member of the Buckley Old Engine Show and past Grant Township Clerk. Karen was a fixer and mechanically gifted; there wasn't anything she couldn't refurbish, fix, or make like new. She also enjoyed baking and cake decorating. More than anything, Karen loved and cherished time spent with her family.
Karen is survived by: her daughter, Lea (Douglas) Boman of Buckley; grandchildren, Tarren (Matt) Osredkar of Buckley, Makenna (Blake Fitzek) Clous of Traverse City, and Allison Boman of Traverse City; great-grandchildren, Theodore and Kinsley Osredkar of Buckley; siblings, Janet (Craig) Dixon of Benzonia and Craig (Connie) Kreiser of Buckley; sister-in-law, Susan Kreiser of Buckley; and best friend, Sylvia Speer of Traverse City.
Karen was preceded in death by: her parents; siblings, Barbara Kreiser and Dave Kreiser; and great-grandson, Noah James Levi Wanamaker.
The family would like to acknowledge Karen's dear friend and caregiver, Art Clous, for caring for her during the latter part of her life.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Kingsley Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
