IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Ann
Rogers
February 17, 1939 – June 3, 2023
Karen Ann Rogers, 84, of Traverse City, Michigan, died Saturday, June 3, 2023, at Medilodge of Leelanau. She was born February 17, 1939, in Chassell, Michigan; the daughter of Charles and Borghild (Andersen) Kerouac.
Karen graduated at the top of her class from Chassell High School and was also a graduate of Michigan Tech University.
She relocated with her children from the Detroit area to Lake Ann, Michigan, in 1976; later moving to Traverse City. She worked in the medical field as a medical technologist, receptionist, and billing clerk.
She loved to bowl, work in her yard, go camping with her daughter, and play cards. Karen loved her dog Buddy who was with her for thirteen years before he passed away in 2020.
Karen is survived by: her children, Michael Rogers of Springfield, Missouri, Tracy Daniel (Tony) of Williamsburg, and Joel Rogers (Angela) of Grawn; her grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Paige Couturier (David) and Nathan Rogers (Allison), great-granddaughter, Cora Rose Couturier; and her brother, Lee Kerouac (Lynda) of Pensacola, Florida.
Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Lester and Borghild Kerouac.
In keeping with Karen's wishes, no services will be held at this time, just a small family gathering.
Please send donations to Hospice of Michigan, Traverse City. They are very special people, and we are blessed to have them. They truly care for their patients and their families. They were with me until the end and beyond.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
