Mrs. Karine (Krantz) Rinaldi 10/23/1932 - 06/26/2015 died peacefully surrounded by her family. Karine was born to Elmer and Emma (Hallberg) Krantz in Mears MI. She moved to New York City shortly after high school with her sisters and a few friends. There she met her husband of 62 years, Frank Rinaldi. She worked for American Airlines and loved glamour of the big city. Soon after starting her family they grew out of their home in Forest Hills N Y. and moved to Bellmore on Long Island. She quickly became involved in school activities, field trip chaperone, to making costumes for plays. She was a "mom" to all the neighborhood children. Their retirement plan was to move back to Hart MI. After purchasing the Dari Cream in Pentwater, the transition was smooth and she was happy to be home.
She is survived by her husband Frank, daughter Kristine Rinaldi Bluhm (David), son Robert Rinaldi. Grandchildren, Kameron Klotz, Derek Bluhm, Alex Bluhm, and Jake Bluhm; sister Nina Howard . She was preceded in death by her daughters Terri Rinaldi Klotz and Ann Rinaldi; her sister, Dorothy Corhs and her brother Norman Krantz; her parents Elmer and Emma Krantz.
The Mass of the Resurrection for Mrs. Rinaldi will be offered Thursday, July 2, 2015 at 11:00 am from St. Vincent Catholic Church in Pentwater. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the Mass at church. A luncheon will immediately follow the Mass. The family requests donations may be given to the Pentwater Library, 402 E. Park St., Pentwater, MI 49449.
