Mrs. Kathryn Helma Sexton, age 88, of Hart, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2012. She was born April 23, 1924, in Detroit to Earl and Mary (Schible) McCleish. She married John Francis Sexton on June 1, 1946 in Detroit and he preceded her in death in May 1, 2003. She was a member of Lighthouse Lutheran Church in Pentwater. She loved her family and the beach.

Kathryn is survived by two daughters, Ann (Tom) Sayles of Hart, and Mary Jane (Doug) Thomas of Norton, Ohio; one son, Peter Sexton of Everett, Washington; two sisters, Mary Louise Beasley of Traverse City and Alice Funk of Jackson. She also has six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and two sisters, Georgianna McFerran and Jane Alden.

The Graveside Service for Mrs. Sexton will be held Saturday, July 21, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Pentwater Cemetery with Pastor John Hansen officiating. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Harbor Hospice, 1050 W. Western Ave. Suite 400, Muskegon, MI 49441.
