Kathy Marie Vellenga, 59, of Montague, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 25, 2022. She was born February 9, 1963, in Muskegon, the daughter of Melvin and Barbara (Cunningham) Vellenga.

Kathy enjoyed being around family and friends, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was also an avid bingo player.

Kathy is survived by: her partner, Mark Slocum; mother-in-law, Vicki Cook; children, Sara (Bob) Moore, Cindy (Nathan) Devenport, Bobbie Sue (Allen) Parsons; Robert (Hannah) Dausman, Dustin (Cheyenne) Slocum, Gary (Missi) Lamew, and Derrick (Ashley) Landers; grandchildren, Angelina, Connor, Marco, Heaven, Reice, Bryson, Addison, Lexi, Charlotte, Everly, Memphis, Sophia, Clark, and Wayde; five great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Bobbi.

Kathy was preceded in death by: her parents, Barbara and Jack Cunningham; brothers, David Vellenga and Scott Cunningham; and father-in-law, Terry Cook.

In accordance with Kathy's wishes, cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
