Kenneth Emory Walsworth, 71, of Mears passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Mercy Health – Mercy Campus in Muskegon. Ken was born July 9, 1947, in Hart, the son of Walter and Ann (Padecky) Walsworth.

Ken was a devoted husband and loving father. He graduated from Hart High School in 1965, and continued on to Muskegon Community College for two years. In 1972 he started a career with the Oceana County Road Commission and worked there until his retirement in 2009.

Ken married his wife, Kristy, November 6, 1971, and loved her fiercely until his last breathe. They had two children together, Kendra and Dustin Walsworth.

Ken loved being outdoors, and in fair weather could always be found tending his garden or yard. He loved to take the dog for a run with his golf cart. He loved baseball and could tell you any baseball fact from the past decades. There was never a truer Tiger's fan. Ken also loved to hunt deer in the fall and deer camp was always the highlight of his year.

Ken was a kind, generous man with a wonderful sense of humor. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. God's garden will surely be Eden again.

Ken is survived by: his wife, Kristy Walsworth; children, Kendra Walsworth and Dustin Walsworth; and his dog, Brandi.

Ken is preceded in death by: his parents; and his brother James Walsworth.

Memorial Services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2019, at Mears United Methodist Church, 1990 N. 56th Avenue, Mears, MI 49436, with Pastor Anne Riegler officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, May 10, 2019, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 N. 72nd Avenue, Hart, MI 49420, and from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crystal Valley Care Fund.
