She passed peacefully, December 21, 2022, at her daughter's house in Manton, Michigan.  Laurice will now be reunited with her husband, Dewayne Sr. in Traverse City, where they started their life together and raised their family.

Laurice worked in the maintenance department for Grand Traverse County for nearly 30 years. She enjoyed time with all her family, grandkids and great-grandkids. She still enjoyed and cherished her outings with longtime friend Grace Rudd whom she has been friends with for nearly 50 years.

Laurice also enjoyed bowling on leagues for the last few years. She loved playing bingo and playing Skip-Bo with family and friends. Another favorite pastime was watching or listening to Detroit Tigers baseball games. She enjoyed time with her son Dewayne Jr.'s family and art shows with her daughter Melody.

Laurice is survived by: her daughter, Melody Litwiller-Knopek (Neil) and their son Jonathan and great-grandkids Adilynn, Jaxon, Cassandra (Jason) McKee, Lillyana, Addison, Evan Thomas, and Kaylene; her son, Dewayne (Cheryl) Litwiller Jr. and their daughter Avalon; her stepson, Mike (Mary Ellen) Litwiller and their children Maxwell (Kristine) Mitchell (Courtney) Cole and Mallory; and grandson, Darian.

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Thursday, December 29, 2022, at Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens in Traverse City.  Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel.
