Mr. LaVoy L. Adams, age 94, of Mishawaka, IN, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka. He was born December 14, 1921, in Ferry to Lester and Bertha (Sherwood) Adams. He was employed as a bookkeeper at Kelvinator Appliance. He married the former Alice Morat. They were married for 57 years before her death in 2005. He has now been reunited with his one true love and will be missed by many. LaVoy is survived by one daughter: Shelley (Larry) Steele-LeVeque of South Bend, IN and one son: Michael (Jeanne) Adams of Washington State; two grandchildren, Garrett and Dylan Adams; three step grandchildren, Jim, Pam and Jennifer; several step great grandchildren and step great great grandchildren; one sister: Beulah Boucher; He was preceded in death by one brother and five sisters. The Funeral Service for Mr. Adams will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 4:00 PM, from the Hart United Methodist Church with Pastor Steve Young officiating. Interment will be in the South Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday one hour prior to the service at Hart United Methodist Church, 308 South State Street, Hart, MI.
