Mr. Lawrence R. "Bob" Stefanits, age 76, of Hart, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015. He was born March 20, 1938, in Muskegon Heights to Stephen and Mary (Szedlacsek) Stefanits. Bob was a graduate of Muskegon Heights High School Class of 1956 and served in the U.S. Army in Germany for four years. He was employed as a stock mover at the E.H. Sheldon Company in Muskegon. Bob enjoyed playing cards and walking in his neighborhood.

Lawrence is survived by his sister, Caroline Flood of Pentwater and his brother, Thomas Stefanits of Grand Haven, MI. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Steve Stefanits.

The Memorial Service for Mr. Stefanits will be held in the spring due to weather conditions. The date and time of service will be announced. Interment will take place in the Mears Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. The family requests that any memorials be directed to the American Cancer Society, 129 Jefferson SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49503.
