Layne Ross Six, 66, of Mears, passed away August 5, 2019, at his home, after a long battle with cancer. He was born June 27, 1953, in Hart, the son of James and Dorene (Renouf) Six.

Layne enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and watching Tigers, Lions and U of M football.

Layne is survived by: his wife, Marta (Kullman) Six; son, James (Beverly) Six; daughter, Suzette (Leman) Bevins; step-son, James Kullman; grandchildren, MiKayla, Logan, Lucas, Hailee, and Gracie; siblings, Raelene Goforth and Ron (Cathy) Six.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, James and Dorene Six; and brother, Lee Six.

Cremation has taken place, and private services were held.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
