Mrs. Leona H. Frick, age 95, of Walkerville, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015. She was born November 20, 1919, in Hart to Glen and Fanny (Duerst) Chase. Mrs. Frick graduated with the 1949 Class Walkerville High School. She was employed as a school teacher.
Mrs. Frick assisted her husband Lyle in the service stations and Walkerville Well Drilling. She was a helping hand to others and wanted to be busy and involved. She and her husband traveled to all 48 states and wintered many years in the Winter Haven, Florida area. The life of her family was of the utmost importance.
Leona is survived by one daughter: Carol (Joe) Abe of Hart, MI and two sons: Jerry (Verla) Frick of Walkerville, MI, Robert (Regina) Frick of Pittsburgh, PA; she also has 3 grandchildren, Jim (Monica) Field, Greg Frick, Angela (Mike) Slowik; 6 great grandchildren, Alexandria Field, Kenneth Field and Abbey Field, Kaylee Slowik, Kevin Slowik, and Nathan Slowik. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Gene Field, husband, Ernest Lyle Frick, brother, Herbert Chase.
The Graveside Service for Mrs. Frick will be Saturday, July 11, 2015, at 1:00 pm at Fairlawn Cemetery in Walkerville with the Rev. Ron Iris officiating. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Hospice of Michigan, 5177 W. US 10 Ste. B, Ludington, MI 49431 or The Pioneer House in Walkerville.
