IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Leslie Ann
Bush
March 17, 1962 – August 17, 2022
Leslie Ann Bush passed away August 17, 2022, at age 60. She is survived by: her mother, Joan Bush; sister, Lynn Bush (husband, Daryl Weavers); nephew, Trevor Crooks; and brother, Jeffery Bush. Leslie has gone to that final rest after prevailing in the long struggle that was her life, and that is her lasting legacy.
Born in Chicago on March 17, 1962, the family journey carried Leslie to Cleveland and then to Philadelphia. Although, a constant throughout all of that, was the summers spent at White Lake, at San Juan Resort. Those many years at San Juan gave her roots. Except brief times living elsewhere, notably Braver Island, she remained in Montague. Leslie graduated from Montague High School in 1980, and Michigan State University, with a B.S., in 1985. Leslie became an icon of perseverance to those she touched in the White Lake area.
Along her journey, Leslie was aided by her great sense of humor. She had a quick wit and inherited love for puns. It was her love, kindness, and compassion that really stood out. Her many animals over the years felt this, just as did the people in her life. Leslie was a source of light for many.
Leslie consistently achieved more than most thought possible and fought through battles most thought impossible. The strength and courage she showed in overcoming the adversity she faced was truly amazing. Leslie will be remembered with supreme love by her family and those who knew her well. She leaves behind a lot of people who are better for having shared her life.
Her family would like to thank everyone at the Harbor Hospice Poppen Residence, for the wonderful care Leslie received in her final days.
At the end, Leslie could look back on her journey and say yes, she did dive deep into life, and can be said to have truly lived.
"I have loved the stars too fondly to be fearful of the night."
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
