Linda Lou Michels, 78, of Traverse City, died Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at Concord Place Assisted Living, in Traverse City, with her family by her side.  She was born December 12, 1946, in Traverse City, the daughter of Earl and Theresa (Schaffer) Michels.

Linda was creative and enjoyed making beautiful needlepoint embroideries.  She loved old country music (The good kind!) and a cold Diet Coke.

Linda is survived by: her sisters, Beverly Maddox of Traverse City, Marlene Michels of Kentucky, and Elaine Cizek of Traverse City; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents; and siblings, Ruth Saxton, Roger Michels, Gordy Michels, Bob Michels, and Nancy Novak.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
