Mrs. Linda L. Smith, age 65, died Sunday, October 28, 2007. She was born in Baldwin, Michigan to Elton and Charlotte (Landon) Johnson. On October 26, 1963, at the Crystal Valley United Methodist Church, she married William Smith. Linda enjoyed her family, cooking holiday meals, going to yard sales and having coffee with friends. She also was a care giver to her parents and her father and mother in law. Linda is survived by her husband of 44 years William "Bill"; son, Steven R. (Karen) Smith of Montague; daughter, Sheri (Fred) Walker of Walkerville; five grandchildren, Amy (Brandon) Bolling of Howell, MI, Jeff Lipka of Montague, Lacie Dodds of Lake Orion, MI, Megan Dodds of Walkerville and Zachary Dodds of Walkerville. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Smith, three brothers, Richard, Frederick and Nels Johnson. The Funeral Service for Linda will be held Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home with the Rev. Dennis Bromley and Mr. Craig Cooper officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday 4-6 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the Tate-King Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Elbridge Township Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be given to the Crystal Valley Care Fund or the West Michigan Regional Cancer and Blood Center.
