Linda Lou VanderLaan, 71, of Hart, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018, at home. She was born April 13, 1947, in Lexington, Tennessee, the daughter of Edward and Sudie (Miller) Dennison.

Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister who loved being with her family. She always looked forward to Thanksgiving when she was able to have everyone together. Most of all, Linda loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially when they were playing board games or going to McDonald's for a Happy Meal.

On June 13, 1964, in Hart, Linda married Gordon W. VanderLaan, who survives her. She is also survived by: her son, Timothy (Becky) VanderLaan of Hart; her daughter, Tammy VanderLaan-Wendt of Hart; her grandchildren, Kourtney, Kyle, Austin and Lauren; 2 sisters, Sandra Fay (William) Wells of Hart, and Kay (Wayne) Davey of Hart; 2 brothers, William Dennison of Hart, and Carl (Claire) Dennison of Hart; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Linda was preceded in death by: her parents; 2 sisters, Sally Gleason and Ann Blohm; and 3 brothers, Pete Dennison, H.E. Dennison and Charlie Dennison; mother-in-law, Virginia Pekich.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, November 5, 2018, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72 ^nd Avenue, Hart. The family will receive friends Sunday, November 4, 2018, from 1-3 PM at the funeral home.
