Obituary

Lisa Ann Hart (nee Sherman), 55, of Montague, passed away peacefully in her home, Monday May 26, 2025. She was born December 12, 1969, in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Jim Sherman Sr. and Penny Yelaska.

In 2005, Lisa met the love of her life Jerry Hart Jr. and they were married June 13, 2014, having spent 20 years in love. She was a wife and mother above all else, taking pride in her home and family. When the weather was nice, she was out in her garden, spending countless hours planting, weeding, and enjoying all her flowers. Her greatest joy in life (after her husband, children and grandchildren) was camping. When she wasn't tending her garden she could be found in the middle of the woods with her tent popped, her fire crackling, and her music blasting. It was also a common occurrence to find her singing and dancing no matter where she was. Nothing can really describe Lisa accurately. She was stubborn, kind, resilient, strong, fun loving, and one of the most giving people you could ever meet. These are all traits she passed on to her children who were her entire heart, soul, and world.  She will be missed more than words can describe.

She is survived by: her adoring husband, Jerry Hart Jr.; sons, Christopher (Kali Schram) Gray, Jerry Hart III, and Thomas Hart; daughters, Amenda (Robert) Lamb, Rachel Hart, Allie Hart, and Emilee (Alex Doorenbos) Hart; grandchildren, Kimberly, Christopher Jr., Ian, Jacob, Grayson, Zander, Baylen, and Amijah; She is also survived by her mother, Penny Frees; sisters, Loretta Saltarski and Linda West; brothers, Ed Frees and Jim Sherman JR; as well as many nieces and nephews that she loved dearly.

Lisa was preceded in death by: her father, Jim Sherman Sr.; step father, Ron Frees; brothers, Johnny and Joseph; granddaughter, Haven; as well as numerous beloved pets she lost over the years, especially her dogs Blue, Charlie, and most recently her dearly loved Mystra, all of which she had a particularly close bond with.

A small private gathering will be held with the immediate family, with a larger gathering at Danny'z Rothbury Tavern to be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks for donations to help with the cost of final expenses.

Beacon cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
