Lisa R. Johnson, age 93, of Mears, passed away early Wednesday morning , November 10, 2021. Lisa was born as Ruth Anna Lisa Öjst to Erik Öjst and Göta (Domeiji) in Alnö, Sweden, on March 23, 1928. On August 7, 1954, she married Edwin M. Johnson in Alnö, Sweden

Lisa was an exceptional lady. She married an American farmer/teacher who raised her family and tended her garden. Lisa was also a stylish woman who enjoyed the finer things in life, so when it came to Saturday night dinners or Sunday morning church, the expectation among her many friends was that Lisa would arrive elegantly dressed and strikingly beautiful - and she never disappointed.

Lisa was a loving mother who will be greatly missed by her three children, Erik (Barb) Johnson of Manistee, MI, Ingrid (Rick) Murray of Crested Butte, CO, and Elisabet (Mark) Forner of Pentwater, MI; six grandchildren, Chad (Allison) Murray, Chelsea (Chris Koeppe) Murray, Daniel (Gyu JinLim) Johnson, Ashley (Adam) Jacques, Jackson Forner, and Lars Forner; five great-grandchildren, Wesley Murray, Felix Murray, Lydia Murray, Hudson Jacques, and Lily Jacques; and one great-grandchild due on November 18, 2021 .

Lisa was preceded in death by: her husband, Edwin M. Johnson; and her two sisters, Eva Wahlgren and Astrid Johansson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the "Edwin Johnson Scholarship Fund" in care of the Oceana Community Foundation on behalf of Hart Public Schools.

A celebration of life with family and friends will be held in the summer of 2022.
