Obituary

Lloyd Clifford Stoltz, 87, of Shelby, died Sunday, October 7, 2018, at Lakeshore Hospital in Shelby.  He was born July 7, 1931, in Ridgeway, Ontario, Canada, the son of Myrle and Olivet (Learn) Stoltz.

Lloyd served in the US Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan.  He worked at Tensar in Akron, New York for many years.  He then owned and operated a Texaco Gas Station with his wife, Suzanne.  After the couple moved to Oceana County, Lloyd went to work at Hansen Foods in Hart where he was employed for over 15 years until his retirement in June of 2018.  In his spare time, Lloyd enjoyed tending to his garden.  He was a member of New Hope Community Church in Shelby.

Lloyd is survived by: his daughter, Cynthia (David) Kelm of Vancouver, Washington; his son, Thomas (Cindy) Routley of Shelby; 4 grandchildren, David (Nadia) Kelm, Jonathan (Morgan) Kelm, Krystol (Jesse) Morehouse and Monika (Chad) Stein; 11 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and his brother, Leroy Stoltz of Arizona.

Lloyd was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Suzanne Stoltz on August 14, 2017.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of life service will be held at New Hope Community Church in upcoming weeks.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
