Obituary

Lois Anne Foster, 89, of Hesperia, passed away Monday, January 27, 2020.  She was born November 19, 1930, the daughter of Edward and Elsie Johnson.

Lois married Richard Lee Foster in 1951. Together they were blessed with four children and 45 years of marriage until his death in 1996. Lois earned her Bachelor's Degree from Western Michigan University and worked primarily as an elementary school teacher at Duck Creek Elementary. Lois was athletic and was invited to be the bat girl for the Muskegon Lassies, an expansion team in the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Her hobbies included line dancing, gardening, sunbathing, camping, ice skating, sewing and crocheting.  Lois was an independent, strong-willed, loving woman, with a sense of humor right up until the end. She will be deeply missed.

Lois is survived by: her children, David (Nancy) Foster, Rochelle (William) Botens, Susan Markward, and Jeffery (Debora) Foster; grandchildren, Jennifer (Brian) Cryst, Amy (Bob) Stirling, John (Lindsay) Foster, Dan (Adriane) Foster, Renee (David) Murphy, Colleen Botens (Brandon Taylor), Cody Markward, Lisa Daniels, Nicole (Johnny) Wright, and Amanda Foster; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; brothers, Gordon, and Thomas; and sister, Marjorie.

In keeping with Lois' wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be held.
