Lois Jean Mitchell, 90, of Irons, was welcomed into the loving arms of Jesus on Friday, March 2, 2018, with her loving husband, Al, by her side at Oakview Medical Care in Ludington.  She was born September 16, 1927, in LaPorte, Indiana, the daughter of Harry and Alice (DeWitt) Chadderdon.

Lois was a graduate of LaPorte High School and the Cosmetology College in South Bend, Indiana.  She later was a bank teller for 22 years. On October 20, 1956, Lois married Albert Mitchell.  The couple moved to Irons in 1979 where Lois was a very active member of Faith Fellowship Church.

Lois is survived by: her husband of 61 years, Albert Mitchell; 2 granddaughters, Johana Jervis and Stacey Jervis, both of LaPorte, Indiana; 2 great-grandsons, Timothy Blaze and Alexander Jervis; and 4 great-great-grandchildren, Austin Blaze, Timothy Blaze Jr., Brooke Payton Blaze and Kaylee Blaze; and several nieces and nephews.

Lois was preceded in death by: her daughter, Pamela Jean Jervis; her brother, Harry Chadderdon Jr.; and her sisters, Phyllis Missman and Peggy Rinker.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, March 7, 2018, at Faith Fellowship Church in Irons.  Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in the spring.  Visitation will be held Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Fellowship Church.
