Obituary

Loretta Mae Parmelee, 75, of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, February 16, 2019.  She was born November 24, 1943, the daughter of Norval and Marie Hayes.

Loretta worked at Howmet as an engineering advisor for many years. She enjoyed being an old school homemaker. From sewing to knitting, she was also the rugged type who stayed busy. Owning her country roots earned her the nickname "Mountain Woman."  Her life revolved around loving her grandchildren. Loretta was a fearless, dedicated woman who had a tenacious zest for life. She will be deeply missed.

Loretta is survived by: her children, David (Laurie) Parmelee and Karen Parmelee; her grandchildren, Drew (Logan) and Catie; her great-grandchildren, Tylor, Trae, and Brooklyn; her ex-husband, William Parmelee; her sister, Mary Moffat; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by: her parents; her brother, LeRoy; and her sister, Betsy.

A celebration of life will be held at 3:00PM, Sunday, March 31, 2019, at the White Lake Eagles, 1204 South Lake Street, Whitehall, Michigan, 49461.
