Obituary

Loris Briggs, 83, of Hesperia, peacefully passed away June 28, 2023. She was in the amazingly tender care of the team at Corwell Health in Fremont, and surrounded by her children, Cindy and Martin Briggs, and her longtime partner, Carl Baskin.

Loris led a rewarding and happy life working as a bank teller for years and in her "retirement" enjoyed working at the Hesperia Library. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed her trips to the Little River Casino to play the penny slots. Loris loved the people of Hesperia and enjoyed her time in the choir at her church.

Loris is survived by: her daughter and son, Cindy (Andy) and Martin (Jody); and Carl Baskin who was her life companion for 20 years and is equally part of the family in this loss. Loris is also survived by: 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Brian (Chris) Ward and Allen (Linda) Ward; and many nieces and nephews.

Loris was preceded in death by: her parents, Chester and Laura (Bayle) Ward; and siblings, April Simpson, Perry Ward, and Kent Ward.
