Mrs. H. Lorraine Patterson, age 90 of Hart died Monday August 18, 2008. She was born in Walkerville on April 9, 1918 to Harvey and Evalyn (Eggleston) Halladay. On Valentine's Day, February 14, 1947 she married John Patterson at Hart. She graduated from Ferris Institute with a teaching certificate and was a school teacher at the Allen Creek School from 1938-1941, Crystal Valley School from 1941-1945 and Walkerville School from 1945-1948. She also was an inspector for 25 years at Howmet Corp., until her retirement in 1978. Lorraine was a member of the Walkerville United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, John of Hart; 21 nieces and nephews; many great nieces and nephews; brother, Robert (Barbara) Halladay of Lakeland, FL; sister, Marilyn Meyer of Elmer, AL; preceding her in death was a sister, Adaline Moore. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Patterson will be held Thursday, August 21, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. from the Tate-King Funeral Home, with Rev. Ron Worley officiating. Interment will be in the Hart Cemetery. Visitation will be one prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to the Crystal Valley Care Fund or Hackley VNS Hospice.
