Luigina "Gina" Windnagle, 76, of Traverse City, formerly of Interlochen, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 8, 2024.  Her final moments were spent looking into the eyes of her beloved husband, Earl, who lovingly cared for her during her hard-fought battle against dementia.

Gina was born May 27, 1947, in Bartley, West Virginia, the daughter of Mike and Josephine (Arena) Tamborelli.  Faith and family were the most important things in Gina's life.  She was a longtime member of Redeemer Lutheran Church of Interlochen.  She worked as an accountant for Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan.  She was an incredible wife and mother, balancing both a career and a loving home for Earl and her children.  They lived for many years on Duck Lake Peninsula in Interlochen.

On July 8, 1977, Gina married Melvern Earl Windnagle who survives her.  She is also survived by: children, Michael (Ashley) Windnagle of Owosso and Jeannine Pashchuk of Traverse City; grandchildren, Samuel Pashchuk, Isaac Pashchuk, Anastasia Pashchuk, Harper Josephine Windnagle, and Olive Windnagle; stepchildren, Linda Eastman, Larry Windnagle, Colleen Woskoff, and Nancy Windnagle; and siblings, Angelina Williams and Mary Novak.

Gina was preceded in death by her parents.

Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, January 27, 2024, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1896 Rogers Road, Interlochen, Michigan, 49643, with a luncheon to follow at the church.  The family will receive friends beginning at 9:00 AM at the church.
