Mr. Lyle D. Joslin, age 79, died Saturday, December 2, 2006. He was born January 31, 1927 in Tustin, MI to Percy and Edna Mae (Ealy) Joslin. He married the former Dorothy Alberts in Marion, MI on August 30, 1947. Lyle was a truck driver with Consolidated and Associated Truck Lines. He was a World War II veteran of the US Army, serving in the 101st Airborne and later the Merchant Marines. Lyle was a member of the Disabled American Veterans in Ludington, the Pentwater VFW Post 6017, and the Lansing VFW Post 701. His interests included hunting, fishing, farming and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Dorothy and their children, Jerry Joslin of Custer, MI, Christine (Ty) Gemmell of Lowell, MI and Beverly Earls of Lowell, MI; 10 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; 1 brother, Ralph Joslin of Edmore, MI; 2 sisters, Alice Cass of Evart, MI and Barbara Dunham of Topeninabee, MI. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 sister, Emily Hoard and 2 brothers in law, Dennis Hoard and Clyde Dunham. Lyle was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, who will be greatly missed by all. The Memorial Service for Lyle will be held Sunday, December 10, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. from the Fosnaught-Holdship Funeral Home, Marion, Michigan. Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude's Children Hospital or to the charity of your choice.
