Lyle D. Sutton, 74, went to be with his heavenly Father on March 29, 2022. He was born to Maxine Gary and Robert Sutton on May 22, 1947.

At the young age of 18, Lyle joined the Army and served in the Vietnam War. He then years later proudly defending freedom again by serving in Desert Storm as a Army reservist. On January 20, 1980, he married the love if his life, Evelyn Dalzell. In a loving home together they raise Debra, Steven, Susan, and Sheila. He fully enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren Nikki and Onya, great-grandchildren Logan, Violet, Lilyona, Chloe, and Quinn.  Surviving siblings are Darlene, Judy, Ted and Paul.

He was preceded in death by siblings Shari, Dorothy, Bob, Jim, and Carol.

Lyle was a wonderful, loving, caring husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle and will truly be missed by all. The world lost a great man but Heaven gained another angel.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Traverse City Chapel. Interment will follow in Grand Traverse Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 4-6 PM, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at the funeral home.
