Lynda Mannor, 77, of Buckley, passed away at home surrounded by family on Saturday, May 11, 2024. She was born on July 18, 1946, to Arlene and Wayne Wilson of Buckley, Michigan. She was a 1965 graduate of Buckley Community School.
She married John Mannor on March 5, 1997, in Rockport, Texas.
Together they shared five children, Amy Rubin (Jeremiah Matthews), Aaron (Tamela) Rubin, Luci Mannor, Mary (Randy) Zoodsma, and Carol (Todd) Weaver; 18 grandchildren, Donnie Smith, Corrina Weaver, Aubrey (Tyler) Schut, Michael Weaver, Shaun Smith, Alex (Haley) Zoodsma, Garrett (Elizabeth) Luther, MaKayla Luther, Amyia Zoodsma, Gabe Luther, Austin Rubin, Parker Rubin; six great-grandchildren, Amilia Beaudin-Smith, Aislynn Yaster, Adalynn Yaster, Brantley Wessell, and Hollyn Zoodsma.
Lynda spent most of her career working as the office manager for her brother, Bob at Bob's Furnace Service in Traverse City, Michigan. She also spent many years volunteering for the Buckley Fire/EMS Department.
Lynda lived life to the fullest, traveling to places like Europe, the Bahamas, and Canada, as well as several places throughout the United States such as Florida, California, Maine, and Texas. Lynda loved attending Hodag Country Music Festival each year in Wisconsin with her husband and a couple of her siblings which they dubbed, "the 6- Pack."
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, John Mannor; siblings, Robert (Mary) Wilson, Cathleene Neuman, Sharon (Brian) Vincent; sisters-in-law, Sandy Wilson, Marina Mannor, Joan Rowland, Mary Butler; brother-in-law, Donald (Carol) Mannor; daughter-in-law, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her father, Wayne Wilson and mother, Arlene Wilson; brothers, Edwin Wilson and Delbert Wilson; brothers-in-law, Willy Neuman, James Mannor, Wayne Mannor, Frank Weller, Walter Rowland, Fred Ingersoll and Robert Butler; sisters-in-law, Marge Mannor, and Rosellen Ingersoll; and grandson, Gavin Luther.
Lynda lived for her family. Spending all of her time ensuring they knew that they were loved. Lynda rarely missed a gathering. Whether it was a birthday party, a bridal shower, baby shower, graduation, wedding, or sporting event, Lynda was there as her friends and family were her number one priority.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at St. Mary of Hannah Catholic Church, in Kingsley, with visitation beginning at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place in Cornell Cemetery, in Buckley, with a luncheon to follow at the St. Mary of Hannah school gymnasium. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM, Monday, May 20, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, 200 N. Brownson Avenue, Kingsley, Michigan 49649, where the rosary will be prayed at 7:00 PM.
