IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Lynn Ada
Durling
August 13, 1930 – December 17, 2023
Lynn Ada Durling (ne. Taylor), born on August 13th, 1930 in Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2023 at the Meadow Brook Medical Care Facility, surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her Parents and sister.
Lynn was a passionate and caring woman who dedicated her life to helping others. She obtained her RN licensure from Case Western Reserve, and was actively involved with the Juniper Garden Club, Emergency Department Nurses Association, Mensa, Friends of Alden District Library, and Child Birth Educators. She had a particular interest in Doctors without Borders, pioneering child birth care and hospice to the extent of being a founding member of the Kalkaska Hospice Care group.
In her free time she enjoyed listening to classical music, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her family and friends. She was known for being a mom, nurse, friend and lover of life itself.
She is survived by her seven children, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A celebration in her honor will be held on August 3rd (location to be determined). In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made to Promedica Hospice or Meadow Brook Care Center or Doctors without Borders in Lynn's name.
We will never forget Lynn's contagious laughter and kind heart that touched so many lives throughout her 93 years on Earth. Until we meet again…
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Elk Rapids Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
