Malcolm Wood (Pete), age 78, of Silver Lake, went home to be with his Lord Sunday, November 7, 2010. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Beverly, of more than fifty years; daughters, Janet (Keith) Zahn, Shelby (Chris) Olson and Ruth Ann Foster; grandchildren, Megan Foster, Ashley (Josh) Carter, Jessica (Matt) Laughter, Garrett (Sarah) Talmadge, Adam Zahn and Alex Talmadge; great-grandchildren, Kaiden Carter and Braelynn Talmadge; and his brother, Donald. Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Malcolm and Mable Wood.

Pete owned and managed Mac Wood's Dune Rides for almost 50 years; he served in the US Air Force; was an active member of the Hart United Methodist Church; served on the Golden Township Board, Rotary and Chamber of Commerce for many years. Pete enjoyed being a private pilot for 20 years, playing the piano, traveling, and always enjoyed being a choir member.

A memorial service for Mr. Wood will be held Saturday, November 13, 2010 at 11:00 am at the Hart United Methodist Church with Pastor Ben Lester officiating. Visitation will be Friday, November 12th from 6 to 8 pm at King Funeral Home in Hart.

Memorial contributions can be given to Hart United Methodist Church or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
