Marcia Norene Pease, 82, passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2020. Marcia was born on October 5, 1937, the daughter of Alice and Eldon Strong.

Marcia married Charles Pease in 1958; together they enjoyed nearly 25 years of marriage until his death in 1982. Marcia was blessed with four children. She worked for Michigan Consolidated Gas Company in Grand Rapids for over 25 years , a career which she started later in life. She persevered during a difficult time in her life, after not working outside the home in 16 years. She was very proud of that. Marcia was a member of St. James Catholic Church. She enjoyed traveling, reading, gardening, knitting, baking , and visiting Canadian Lakes. Marcia was an out-going, friendly, strong woman with a contagious smile. She will be deeply missed.

Marcia is survived by: her children, Greg (Rebecca) Pease, Laura (Michael) Boeve, Kathleen (Patrick) Loop, and Fredrick (Karissa) Pease; grandchildren, Elizabeth (Dave), Andy (Kathleen), Jacob (Alec), Marie, Matthew, Megan, Charles, and Caden; stepbrother, Tom (Kim) Sullivan; sister, JoEllen Miller; brother-in-law, Richard Meitz; and several nieces and nephews.

Marcia was preceded in death by: her husband Charles; brother, Ed; sister, Shurlie; and longtime companion , Al Medacco.

Due to COVID-19, the Mass of Christian Burial scheduled for May 16, 2020 has been cancelled. A private graveside service for her immediate family will take place at Resurrection Cemetery, in Wyoming, Michigan.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
