Mrs. Margaret J. Buck, age 80, died Sunday, November 4, 2007. She was born on August 13, 1927 in Oak Hill, WVA to William John and Savannah Georgia (Petry) Lewis. Margaret was united in marriage with Donald E. Buck, Sr. on June 21, 1947 in Washington, DC. She was a homemaker and a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. Her pastimes included crocheting blankets for her grandchildren, flower gardening and rides throughout the country side. She was best known for her baking skills, making cinnamon rolls, Christmas cookies and fudge, all of which the family said Don Jr. was the biggest benefactor. Margaret is survived by her children, Donald E. Buck, Jr. of Montague, Edith Buck of Holmdel, NJ, Ronald E. (Pamela M.) Buck, Sr. of Foristell, MO, Deborah L. Coverstone of Strasburg, VA and Tammy (Artie) White of Lynchburg, VA; 14 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; 4 sisters, Sarah Cottrell of CA, Alice Putnam of Edinburgh, VA, Helen Pace of St. Petersburg, FL and Dorothy DeCicco of NJ. She was preceded in death by her husband Donald E. Buck, Sr, and her siblings, Lucy, William, Ruby, Albert, Vivian, Elsie and Oather. The Funeral Service for Mrs. Buck will be held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11:00 AM from the Centenary United Methodist Church with the Rev. Harris Hoekwater officiating. Interment will be in the North Weare Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the Centenary United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be given to the Heart Association.
