Margaret Ann Cooper, 71, of Custer, died Saturday, November 4, 2023, at Corewell Health Butterworth Hospital. She was born November 24, 1951, in Ludington, the daughter of Garman and Lenore (Dahringer) Winey.

Margaret enjoyed reading, making the best gravy on the planet, watching Food Network and riding motorcycles. Most of all Margaret loved spending time with her grandchildren, especially when she was reading "The Littlest Angel" to them.

On May 24, 1975, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, in Ludington, Margaret married Frederick Cooper who survives her. She is also survived by: her daughters, Susan (Jeremy Rasmussen) Cooper, and Paula (Brian) Sodders; her grandchildren, Justin, Samantha, Lily, Dawson, Raven, Ian, Sean, Billy, Delilah, and Arya; her great grandchildren, Jayce, Kenzi, Ari, James and Amy; her sister, Sandra (Dan) Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by: her parents; two sisters, Suzanne (John) Drost and Sally (Leonard) Tardani; and her brother, Dennis (Mary) Winey.

Cremation has taken place and a celebration of Margaret's life will be held at a later date.
