Mrs. Margaret Adeline Mockus, age 93, of Ludington, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2016, at Spectrum Health-Ludington Hospital in Ludington. She was born November 11, 1922, in Chicago, IL to Anthony and Elizabeth (Surdukas) Satkus. On May 3, 1944, Marge married Frank Mockus. She was employed for many years at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, IL. Mrs. Mockus enjoyed playing Bingo.
Margaret is survived by two daughters: Victoria (John) Ball of Ludington and Sally (Mike) Strysik of Island Lake, IL and one son: Frank (Patty) Mockus, Jr. of Jensen Beach, FL; 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Frank Mockus, Sr., son, Robert Mockus, brothers, Thomas, Bruno, and George Satkus, sister, Victoria Satkus, great grandaughter, Lilly Balian, and great grandson, Steven Ball.
The Mass of the Christian Burial for Mrs. Mockus will be offered Thursday, July 21, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. from St. Simon Catholic Church in Ludington with Father Wayne B. Wheeler Jr. presiding. A time of visitation will be held Thursday, one hour prior to the service at St. Simon Catholic Church, 702 East Bryant Road, Ludington, MI 49431. She will be laid to rest in Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, IL. The family requests that any memorials be directed to Help Ministries, 910 E.
