Margaret enjoyed making crafts with her husband, Tony, to give away to family and friends. When not kicking up her heels, she was volunteering at the Father Fred Foundation and patrolling handicap parking spots for the Grand Traverse Sheriff's Office. Margaret loved hunting season; she was the "camp cook" for Tony, her boys, and anyone else that showed up --- feeding them a big breakfast and listening to their stories of the big hunt. Margaret was a loving wife, mom, sister, and friend to many. She will be greatly missed.
Margaret attended grammar school at the Shetland School in Cedar, known to most as the "little red school house" on M-22 until transferring to Leland High School. Upon graduation, Margaret attended nursing school in Petoskey. After earning her LPN, she was employed at the traverse City Osteopathic Hospital for 42 years.
On June 12, 1952, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, in Cedar, Margaret married the love of her life Anthony "Tony" J. Zywicki Sr., who preceded her in death on July 20, 2021. Together they had four children who survive her: David (Lhara) Zywicki, Robert (Tammie) Zywicki, Anthony (Kelley) Zywicki, and Margaret (Terry) Dudley. She is also survived by: her siblings, Donna Stefaniak, George (Helen) Smith, and Marvin Smith; and many loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Tony, Margaret was preceded in death by: her parents; her sister-in-law, Cheryl Smith; and her brother-in-law, Tony Stefaniak.
