C. Margaret Fedrigon 89, of Elk Rapids, lived a magnificent 89 years and enjoyed life to the fullest. On Friday, May 7th, she passed away, peacefully at home, into the welcoming arms of her loving God.
Marge was born in Detroit, Michigan on January 3rd, 1932 to Mitch and Edith (Carson) Housey. She was the oldest of eight children, Mitch, Donald, Patricia, Glenn, Diana, Gary and David.
Marge met the love of her life, Donald Charles Fedrigon Sr., at a party she planned while both working at Parke Davis Pharmaceuticals in downtown Detroit. They shared a wonderful life together full of travel and adventure for 55 years until Don's passing in 2010.
They moved to Elk Rapids from Orchard Lake in 1969, where she and her husband owned and operated the Chain of Lakes Marina. Together, they ran a successful real estate business, developed real estate ventures and many partnerships.
Marge will be forever remembered as a loving and dedicated mother and grandmother, always greeting you with a warm smile. She loved spending time with her family on the shores of Elk Lake. Sunday car drives exploring northern Michigan were a favorite pastime. She was always up for a game of cards and enjoyed playing bridge with her friends. She was a long-time member of the Elk Rapids Golf Club and played in the ladies' golf league for years. Gathering with her siblings to prepare handed down family recipes of Lebanese food and sharing with her family brought her joy. Marge was often found working on crossword and sudoku puzzles.
Marge was proceeded in death by her loving husband; parents; siblings Don Housey and Diana Shiroda.
She is survived by her daughter Julie Ann Anderson and son Donald Charles (Renee) Fedrigon Jr., both of Williamsburg. Grandchildren Nicole Michelle (Patrick) Mangan of Medford, Oregon; Alexa Madeline Fedrigon of Ann Arbor, MI; Donald Charles (Natalie) Fedrigon III of Atlanta, GA and Jacob Harry Fedrigon of Madison, WI. Also survived by three great grandchildren, Penelope, Evelyn and Harrison Mangan of Medford, Oregon. Marge adored her family.
A celebration of life will be held at 1:00 PM, Sunday, May 9, 2021, at Grace Lutheran Church, in Elk Rapids, with Pastor James Redmann officiating. Marge will be laid to rest in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Elk Rapids Community Cupboard, Grace Lutheran Church in Elk Rapids, or a charity of one's choice.
Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, Covell-Elk Rapids Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
