Mrs. Margie Tate, age 102, died Saturday, January 13, 2007. She was born April 8, 1904 in Elbridge Township to Warren and Minnie (Peterson) Payne and had lived there her entire life. She married Rusty Russell who preceded her in death. Margie then married Nathan Tate in Ludington on December 11, 1948 and he also preceded her in death. In addition to her husbands, she was preceded in death by her son, Rex Russell and step-son, Don Tate, her four brothers, Vern, Lyle, Max and Glenn Payne. Margie will be remembered as a very kind person who enjoyed her family and many friends. She is survived by daughter in law, Marge Russell of Muskegon and step-son, Bernard Tate of Hart. Margie is also survived by her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. A Memorial Service for Margie will be held Saturday, May 26, 2007 at 11:00 A.M. from the Elbridge Community Church with Pastor Guy Rayle officiating. Interment in Elbridge Township Cemetery.
