Marguerite LaRoche Fuentes, 80, of Lansing, passed away Monday, May 30, 2022. She was born November 5, 1941, the daughter of Felix and Marjorie (LaRoche) Fuentes.

Marguerite lived the majority of her early years in St. Louis, Michigan, where she graduated from high school with the class of 1959. She later continued her education, taking classes at Alma College and Central Michigan University, completing her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education in 1977. She went on to earn her Master of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Development in 1983.

Marguerite enjoyed creating art, especially pottery, decorating, reading, gardening, and traveling. She had an outgoing personality and always looked forward to exploring new places and meeting new people. She loved children, especially her grandsons. Some of her favorite memories of working with children were those as a Foster Grandmother at Winans Elementary School in Waverly.

Marguerite is survived by: her daughter Lori (James) Haskell; grandsons, Robert, and Dustin; siblings, Rosemary (Richard) Kaufman, Julia (Ronald) Alward, Carmen Fisher, Gilbert (Deborah) Fuentes, Felicia (Michael) Curtin, and Gloria Ruckle.

Marguerite was preceded in death by: her parents; son, Robert Gregory Graham; sibling, Richard; and her children's father, Robert Leland Graham.

In accordance with Marguerite's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Memorial contributions may be made in honor of Marguerite, to an organization of your choice, supporting Mental Health or Alzheimer's Research.
