Marguerite Diane Zeller, 73, of Montague, passed away Monday, November 16, 2020. She was born June 29, 1947, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Jean and Jean (Knapp) Zeller.

Rita graduated in the first class of Mona Shores High School, and furthered her education at Grand Valley State University. She had been a teacher with Ravenna Schools and Lake Okeechobee Schools, and later retired from the State of Michigan as a Case Worker with the Employment Securities Commission.

Rita was a very independent woman. She always had a great sense of humor and would greet everyone with a big smile. She enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a phenomenal artist. Rita was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend to many.

Rita is survived by: her daughter, Staci (Todd) Linne; grandsons, Kyle Linne and Jared Linne; siblings, Scott (Karen) Zeller of Michigan, Caron (Ron) White of Arizona, Craig Zeller of Arizona, and Bruce (Lori) Zeller of Arizona; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held June 26, 2021, at Ross Park in Muskegon. Time to be determined.
