Marilyn D. Tobin, of Traverse City, passed away on Monday, July 26, 2021, at the age of 87.  She was born in Wisconsin on August 20, 1933, to Ernest and Esther Germain.

She graduated valedictorian from Somerset High School.  Marilyn married her high school friend, Stan Tobin, on June 4, 1955.  They had four children.  Marilyn was a hospital volunteer at Bi-County Hospital in Warren, Michigan, for many years.  She was a member of St. Francis Parish in Traverse City.

Marilyn is survived by: daughter, Anne Vesey of West Palm Beach, Florida; son Steven (Tammy) of Naples, Florida, and David of Hartland, Michigan; and daughter, Joan (Gene) Peyerk of Cedar.  Also surviving are sisters: Kaye and Dorothy, and seven grandchildren.  Marilyn was preceded in death by: her husband, Stan; and brothers; Edward, Donald and Richard, and son-in-law; John Vesey.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date.

Yesterday on a delicate summer day.

The suns beating heat,

The berry Trees,

Right in Between;

Grandma and grandpa, come to meet anew.

Picking berries, as she had set out to do.
