Marion Gretchen Flanders, 94, of Montague, passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Marion was born March 6, 1925, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Neil and Marguerite Mol.

On June 14, 1946, Marion married Marvin Flanders. Together they raised three children and enjoyed over 40 years of marriage until his death in 1989.  She was a member of Knapp Street Reformed Church in Grand Rapids until the late 1970's when the family relocated to Montague.  She then became a member of Ferry Memorial Reformed Church. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening, her church, grandchildren's sporting and school events, and was a talented seamstress. A strong-willed, active, outgoing and talented woman, Marion will be deeply missed.

She is survived by: her children, Denise (Brad) Kater, Cindy (Rocky) Freed, and Neil (Jeanne) Flanders; grandchildren, Derek (Jenn), Kyle (Jessie), Cody (Hannah), Jenn (Jason), Rachael (Gary), Ian, and Makenna (Alex); 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Roger Mol; and sister, Arlene (Bob) Kooman.

She was preceded in death by: her husband; grandson, Nathan; and sister, Lois (Bud) Swart.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Monday, May 13, 2019, at Ferry Memorial Reformed Church, 8637 Old Channel Trail, Montague, with Pastor Nick Bowling officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM until time of services at the church. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Montague.
