Marion Jean Smith, 85, of Whitehall, passed away Monday, August 2, 2021. Marion was born June 27, 1936, in Muskegon, the daughter of Raymond and Meda Shackleford.

Marion enjoyed going to lunch with her friends and going to the Little River Casino Resort every Thursday to play slot machines.

Marion is survived by: her daughters, Patricia (Robert) Wright, Brenda Smith, and Susan (Charles) Smith; grandchildren, James White, Amber (Michael) Hawkins, Brandon (Rene) White, Richard Smith, Kristi Smith, Jodi Wright, Bradley Wright, and Matthew Wright; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; and brothers, Butch (Joyce) Shackleford, Gary (Betty) Shackleford, and Bill Shackleford.

Marion was preceded in death by: her husband of 23 years, Orville Smith; son-in-law, Kenneth Smith; sisters, Beverly Klinger and Nancy Ferguson; and brother, Bernie Shackleford.

In accordance with Marion's wishes, cremation has taken place and no services will be held at this time.

Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, is in charge of arrangements.
