Marjorie L. Buckhalter, 85, of Hart, passed away December 4, 2024. She was born July 3, 1939, in Detroit, the daughter of Vance and Frances Jassamine (Aiken) Rasmussen.

Marge spent most of her life devoted to her children and family. She loved to garden and can her own vegetables, and was an avid horseback rider and 4-H mom; she loved taking kids and horses to shows all over.

Marge was fond of riding her blue tricycle motorcycle, and was always on various charity bike runs. She also loved to go out dancing, and her favorite band was Yesterday's Wine with Rich Chase. Marge and her husband, Dave, often went where Rick would play.

Marge was known for her big heart and her willingness to help anyone…and we all know how much she loved the casino! …and she was the luckiest person at the casino we ever knew.

Marge is survived by: her husband, David Buckhalter; daughters, Christine DeVries, Wendy Buckhalter, and Edith Hartley; son, Sidney B. Fuller; grandchildren, Torrey Johnson, Curt Johnson, Steven Steiger, Jeffery Steiger, Dylan Riggs, Hailey Haley, Amanda Fuller, Rody Fuller, Mitch Fuller, and Sydney Fuller; siblings, Brinda Rasmussen, Terri Bumstead, Cathy Holcome, Denise Rittenhouse, Debra McClelland, Larry Rasmussen, Dick Rasmussen, Sharon Roberts, and Justin Hamilton; as well as many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Marge was preceded in death by: her parents, Vance Rasmussen and Frances Jassamine Rasmussen; grandson, Anthony Fuller; sisters, Lorena Robbins and Karen Abbot; and brothers, Vance John Rasmussen, Jack Rasmussen, Ricky Rasmussen, and Mark Rasmussen.

Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 PM, Saturday, December 7, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, with a luncheon to follow. The family will receive friends Saturday, from 12:00 PM Noon until time of services at the funeral home.
