Martha J. Brubaker, 87, of Hart, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018, at Cherry Blossom Manor in Hart. She was born August 28, 1930, the daughter of Chester and Josephine (Evans) Mack.

Martha worked as the custodian at Golden Community Schools for 17 years and later at Powers Store of Hart for several years. During that time she also helped pick asparagus on the family farm for over 25 years. In her spare time, Martha enjoyed square dancing with the Melody Mates, playing bingo, collecting clowns, playing golf and spending winter in the Lakeland, Florida area. She was an avid fan of the Detroit Tigers and University of Michigan.

Martha is survived by: her children, Donald "Bill" (Penny) Brubaker of Hart, Brian (Pam) Brubaker of Fountain, and Janice Brubaker of Ludington; friend of the family, Laura Gustafson; her grandchildren; Trevor (Tina) Miller of Mt. Washington, Kentucky, Dustin (Kerri) Miller of Bailey, Jacinda "Jaci" (Todd) Bathrick of Grant, Courtney Breitwisch of Hart, Denver (Jillian) Brubaker of Chicago, Stacey Riker of Mears, Brandon (Lauren) Brubaker of Madison Heights, Blake (Valerie) Brubaker of Hart, Derek (Cynthia) Orent of Camden, NC, Becci (Jay) Polderman of Wyoming, Traci (Nick) Swihart of Hart, Stephanie Deneke of Montague, Bradly (Brianna) Brubaker of Vero Beach, Florida and Ashley Brubaker of Ludington; great-grandchildren, Chelsey (Brennan Nutt) Goodman, Sean Lohden, Halle Jane Miller, Logan Goins, Bailey Bathrick, Trucker Breitwisch, Tanner Breitwisch, Trason Tucker, Connor Riker, Layni Riker, Rhiannon Deneke, Jaylan Brubaker and Evelyn Brubaker, Kimberly Villacampa, Kourtney Orent, Kaylin Swihart, Audry Swihart and Sydney Swihart; her great-great-grandchildren, Paisley Nutt, Charlotte Nutt and Sophia Hall; her brother, Terry (JoAnn) Mack of Pentwater; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Martha was preceded in death by: her husband, Donald Edward Brubaker; her daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca "Becky" Jane and Duane Miller; her brother, Joe Mack; and her sister, Mona Farrell.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018, Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, King-Hart Chapel, 2370 North 72 ^nd Avenue, Hart, with Pastor Roger Warmuskerken officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until time of services at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Crystal Valley Care Fund or Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
