Martin Jeffery Dahl, 67, of Hesperia, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024. He was born April 13, 1956, in Shelby, the son of Kenneth and Elaine (Jensen) Dahl.

On February 14, 2006, Marty married Linda Spring and they spent 19 years together.

Marty began working for his family business, Tri County Feed Service (formerly Dahls Farm Service) at the age of 13. He worked there as an employee and eventually the owner until 2021.  After 52 years of serving the community, he retired.

Marty enjoyed spending time with his family, riding his motorcycle, and being on the Lake at the cottage. He was very passionate about animals, music, and the band he belonged to for decades, Red Eye.

Marty is survived by: his wife, Linda; father, Ken; sister, Kris (Carl); children, John (Amanda), Kerry (Ryan), Stephanie (Scott), Gered (Maria), and Brandon (Amber); grandchildren, Jenna (Matt), Peyten, Bradley, Jace, and Ember; several nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved animal companions, Mr. Bill and Sandy Girl.

Marty was preceded in death by: his mother, Elaine; and brothers, Mark and Tim.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Friday, April 5, 2024, at Beacon Cremation & Funeral Service, White Lake Chapel, 413 South Mears Avenue, Whitehall, MI 49461, with Pastor John Brooks presiding. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Thursday, April 4, 2024, and from 10:00 AM to time of service, Friday, April 5, 2024, at the funeral home. The family asks that you join them at North Grove Brewery, in Montague, following the service to celebrate Marty's life from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Oceana County Animal Shelter or Noah Project.
