Mary Patricia (Pat) Amos, age 88, passed away on April 23, 2021, in Traverse City, Michigan.

Pat was born to Dorance and Lota (Thomas) Munro of Williamsburg, Michigan on May 19, 1932.  After attending Western Michigan University, she married John William Amos of Elk Rapids on December 26, 1954.  They made their home on the Munro family farm.  Pat worked at the Traverse City Public Library for five years and at the Elk Rapids Schools Libraries for 21 years.

Pat is survived by: her husband, John and two sons, Dorance (Julia) Amos of Elk Rapids and Dieter Amos of Kewadin; as well as her grandchildren, Zachary Amos, Karson (Jacqui) Amos, Aubyn (Brennen) Amos-Hitchcock, Nels, Chris, and Bruce Veliquette.

She was preceded in death by her sister Constance of Florida and her parents.

Per Pat's request, there will be no memorial service.  She suggested that anyone making a memorial contribution in her honor please consider the Elk Rapids Library, PO Box 337, Elk Rapids, MI. 49629.

The family expresses their very sincere thank you to the staff at the Grand Traverse Pavilions for the excellent care and great kindness they provided to Pat and the family.
