Mary "Molly"Ann Forbes, 88, of Montague passed away Thursday, December 22, 2016, at Heartland Health Care Center in Whitehall. She was born June 30, 1928, in Muskegon, the daughter of Harold and Evelyn (Richardson) Gatfield.

Molly was a life member of the Montague VFW Post #3256 Ladies Auxiliary. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who enjoyed teaching ceramics and solving crossword and jigsaw puzzles. Most of all, Molly loved spending time with her family, especially with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

On April 4, 1946, in Killeen, Texas, Molly married Leslie "Curly" J. Forbes, who survives her. She is also survived by: her daughter, Patricia (Mike) Glynn of Montague; her son, Hal Forbes of Montague; 7 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; her sister, Janet Kokx of Whitehall; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Molly was preceded in death by: her parents; her daughter, Linda Waruszewski; her grandson, Glen Shingler; and 2 sisters, Jean and Betty.

No services will be held at this time.
